Breaking in the new facilities

This summer, the section of the building known as the “old kiln room” was completely remodeled – the space is now a new plaster lab, an expanded glaze room, and space upstairs for 3D printing and expanded storage for the teaching collection.

The sophomores have been using the space to experiment with different mold making techniques. They’re using silicone, urethane, and plaster to reproduce objects that they sculpted.
